Clinical Focus.
Dr. Maille Devlin, ND is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor practicing in Ontario. Dr. Devlin has particular interests in: cardiovascular health, type two diabetes, weight management, hormonal health, and health optimization. She considers true health not only the absence of disease, but rather a state where an individual is thriving, both physically and mentally.

Schooling.
Dr. Devlin graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) with a 3.88 GPA. While at CCNM, she was awarded several scholarships based on her academic achievement in the program. Maille achieved international recognition for research on the impact of Mediterranean diet on neurodegenerative disease and was recognized as one of the top 3 contributions at the 2018 International Congress on Naturopathic Medicine in London, United Kingdom.

Dr. Devlin has completed internships at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Teaching Clinic, Sherbourne Health Centre and the Rose Health Clinic. Prior to CCNM, Dr. Devlin obtained an undergraduate degree in Honours Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Nutrition at the University of Guelph with 3.86 GPA. 

Throughout her time studying Naturopathic Medicine, Dr.Devlin gained a deep appreciation for both the interconnectedness of the human body and the uniqueness of every person.
Practice Style.
As a Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Devlin approaches each patient with an evidence-informed and individualized approach in order to support specific wellness goals. She believes that education and preventative medicine are the greatest steps toward wellness and is focused on empowering individuals to take the appropriate steps towards being their own health advocate.

In her practice, Dr. Devlin uses a combination of dietary changes, supplements and lifestyle counselling to treat patients. 

Dr. Devlin is a member of the OAND, CAND, and CONO.

The Process

Welcome Chat.

Complimentary phone or virtual appointment where you will gain a better understanding about my process and how I work with patients. After this appointment, we will decide if we’re a good fit and if it makes sense to work together. If not- I always provide referrals to another colleague who I think can help you.
This appointment is up to 15 mins.

Comprehensive Health Evaluation.

This is where I learn all about you. Not just your health concern.

In the initial assessment, we will review your health history, specific health concerns, your current lifestyle (sleep,energy, nutrition, movement, digestion, stress management) and health risks. Next, we will set goals and decide which data needs to be gathered.

Lab Testing and Data Collection.

Based on your Health Evaluation, you and I will discuss lab work that should be run that is individualized to your health risks and goals.

Other data we may need to collect is based on your individual symptoms and goals. Common data that I have patients track includes blood pressure, hip and waist circumference, nutrition, alcohol intake, water intake, digestion, and energy levels.

Data Analysis and Personalized Health Plan.

In the second appointment, you and I will review your lab work and other data you have been tracking. We will discuss your risk factors for certain diseases and come up with an individualized plan to reduce your risk of disease, while improving your healthspan.

In this appointment, I encourage you to collaborate in the plan creation so we can find steps that integrate into your life well. We will have a long-term plan, as well as a short-term list of action items to implement before the next visit.

Progress Review and Support.

Here we will assess your progress in the action items set out in the previous appointment as well as address any new concerns or barriers to success. We will decide if we should move forward on our next steps or spend more time supporting your current action items.

Re-Test and Re-Assess.

After an appropriate amount of time on the plan implemented, we will re-test lab values as needed as well as collect any other data we need to reassess risk. Based on the progress made, you and I will discuss the next steps in your health journey
